Hey Y'all, I'm Rita

And this is my tale...

Once upon a time, as a young maiden, I sought escape from the tower chaining me to teenage angst. Venturing to a faraway land of gardens, woods, and swamplands, I pursued higher education, changing course thrice before emerging with a degree in art history.

Though I wanted to continue with post-graduate studies, fate intervened—as it so often does—and the maiden became a mother. Setting aside my dreams of a life buried behind a stack of books writing about archaic, academic topics only a small subset of the population might read, I found motherhood to be the new dream. My son is my ray of sunshine, that little baby now a knight in teenage armor.

In the quiet moments of domesticity, I discovered a new career too. Though my attempts to monetize academic-style stories met a fated end, a magical opportunity arose in the way of copywriting. The decades hence have been spent learning from wise mentors in the realm of marketing.

As my family grew, including two bonus sons and the long-awaited princess, so too have my physical challenges. Confined to bed for extended periods, I dove into the enchanted world of tarot and astrology, finding a way to invite art history back into my life.

Now, I offer my research and the notes I make based on curated curiosity, written and not generated (though AI tools are used in the search to find resources on the web and to edit my perpetually bad grammar) to that small subset of people who might be interested in these archaic and academic sub-subjects on the symbolism in tarot and astrology.

Now as the mother season wanes into nearing crone years, I’m learning to live happily as a busy bee researching tarot, astrology, art, and history from my armchair. I find the greatest joy in the adventures shared with my husband, our children, grandchildren, and one very opinionated black cat.
